Perfect - I was using a hardback book to pop my laptop on so that air could circulate around it whilst using it on my bed. Well first this is far lighter than the book. Also since it is angled its far better position for typing whilst sat up in bed. Also great for watching stuff on bbc iplayer. It has no smell like others have said. It is real comfortable on your lap. Plus I love the two sides so you can use different sized laptops on it. I like the linner pocket which is great for cable management. I normally don t have my battery plugged in when I am using the power cord and this stops the power cord accidently disconnecting if you move it. Great buy. Well done Belkin.
No heat but it slides - I like the Cushtop product. Finally, there is a device to keep the heat of the laptop off your legs. It s works! The only drawback I have found with this product is the fact that the laptop slides down if you are working at an angle. I really wish the makers had added a non-slip surface. Anyone have any ideas about how to stop things from sliding around?
still burns!!! - I have always had a problem a burning sensation when I use my laptop on my knees.it affects my legs and stomach,I have tried different things, laptop coolers and stands with no luck, when I saw this item I thought great this looks af it would solve my problem,it looks and feels great but sadly it has not helped at all,my legs are still burning so sadly back to the drawing board.shame!!!
Great addition to your laptop accesories - I bought this out of frustration of trying to find a laptop stand that you could actually perch on your lap! Not one of the ones where you d attach it to a desk.I was thinking of giving up when I came across one of these. It s really quite cool and comes in a nice chocolate colour which is quite modern and blends nicely with the laptop colours. One suprise was that it is like a solid foam style rather than a squishy style which at first I thought was a negative but it is actually quite a positive. It makes the laptop eye level and when typing it means your hands are level and wrists supported by the laptop so reduces risk of RSI. Absorbs heat well and I have not had that uncomfortable heat dispersing itself in to my leg. It s very light and has a grippy material to hold your laptop and has an area where you can store accessories but I personally do not have a need for such a thing. It supports a 15.4 inch laptop perfectly and there s no over-hang or anything like that. You can reverse for a 17 inch laptop and it works just the same, supports in the same way etc.Great piece of kit for the money. Definitely handy for the people who want to use a laptop around the house but don t necessarily want to be hunched over a desk or coffee table but also do not want their laptop raising their core body temperature! (I am typing this review from the comfort of my bed)So in my personal opinion a great buy.
Light, comfortable and strong - So far I m very pleased with this product, as another reviewer wrote it looks bulky but is in fact very lightweight and sturdy. My laptop was getting quite hot when playing full screen videos or using graphics applications, and I was constantly maneuvering it to lessen the burn. This has alleviated all of that, and it s very comfortable. You can sit with it in bed with legs horizontal or knees up, the textured material stops it from slipping down. The only thing that seems innacurate about the product description - on the company website - is being able to get a mouse into the compartment that runs through the middle, it s simply too narrow. Ideal for packing away long wires (I had power cord, headphones, mouse and external hard drive lying about, which is also sitting in there) and the battery pack, but that s about all. As for the distinctive smell mentioned... mine doesn t have any odour. In summary, a great - perhaps necessary - laptop accessory.
